Two households alike in superpowers,
In fair comic stores we lay our scene,
From age-old grudge break to new scours,
Where Civil War makes DC You! unclean,
From forth the deathly loins of these two foes,
A pair of star-crossed fans take both their lives
Whose unfortunate company overthrows
Doth with their deaths bury their fandoms strife.
The unusual passage of their death-marked love,
And the war of DC and Marvel's rage,
Which, but their reader's end, nought could remove,
Is now the sonnet which rests upon my page.
That which, if you whom Comic-Cons attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
