I was only nineteen,
I was in the jungle with others,
pinned down,
we couldn’t see the enemy.
One by one we got shot,
I ran as fast as I could,
I was the only one left,
I felt scared, cold and lonely.
As I walked, suddenly a bullet passed me, I ran!!!
A bullet hit me in the leg, I knew I was a goner.
I saw the Japanese come out,
I closed my eyes, I waited my fate
I said goodbye to my life.
