Kindness Is Cruelty

My foolish thoughts lead to a trap of lies,
Their kindness evoked curiosity,
Behind friendship lay cruelty, their guilt a crime,
To niceness I find animosity.

For if one were to take all the niceness in the world,
Near all of that is found deceptive,
Who could truly mean it when nice to all,
To tear away at all man's perceptions

If the truth came as a cruel mistress,
Then let it be that lies come as a nice girl,
In all my years I have yet to find,
Kindness truthful in this cruel cruel world.
