Fear in my eyes, Fear in my heart
Wishing for a home, A fresh new start

The talons of war, Hauling me back
But I escaped…

My family long gone, They walk the road of the free
Oh how I wish, That someone loved me

They talk of a land, Where they don’t fight
The birds of freedom, Graceful in flight

You can learn, You can play
You are safe, Everyday

Why, oh why, They won’t let us in
I do not know, I cannot begin
