A Christmas Poem

Christmas is my favorite time of year
I love to listen to the laughter and the cheer.
And spending time with my family and friends,
wishing christmas day would never end.

I love to stare at the present underneath the tree
as I know some of them are for me.
I love to give presents at christmas time
but receiving them is also quite fine .

For me putting up the christmas tree is the best
better than the presents, the food and all the rest
and on the top goes the star
that can be seen from near and far
and don’t forget the christmas lights
that shine so brightly
in the night
and give such a lovely glow
Christmas day is not long to go
