Endless winter in her mind,
The grey skies never seemed to lift
Dreary thoughts clouded the sunshine,
A fog of melancholy that wouldn’t shift
Her gaze focused on the dark of night,
But forgot to look for the stars instead
The shadows obscured the signs of light,
And left her trapped inside her head
But just like every storm must clear,
Her dark times did fade away,
With horizons of happiness near
To bring colour to her world of grey
As winter eventually turns to spring,
And clouds cannot stifle the sun’s every ray
We know that all bad things
End with a new day
