Red Raindrops

I have always found peace in the rain.
The sound of water dripping into the cement.
The aroma of wild flowers stains the inside of my nose.
The cool breeze suffocating the warm air.
Nature tends to come alive when the skies are flawed.
But I suppose I feel peace,
When the skies are screaming and crying out for help,
Is when the last thing I saw in her eyes,
Before death absorbed into her soft skin, was peace.
Even though the water diluted the pool of blood surrounding her
And her aquatic, turquoise eyes engulfed by the darkness,
That exact moment before her heart stopped beating,
That exact moment before her fair skin became filled with despair,
Was the composure that spread throughout her empty heart.
Her final moments were amongst the calm rain.
A beautiful tragedy.
