Oceans

The waves curl gracefully in turquoise brilliance
Their crests as white as snow
The heartbroken tears roll down her cheeks
As the ocean dances below
She takes stands at the edge, her tears crystal clear
And looks at the beauty all around
She whispers the name of the one she loved
As she joins the ocean and leaves the ground
The water as cold as ice
Matching her pain filled heart
As she thinks of the one who killed him
And how they tore her life apart
But now the waves are caressing her
As they drag her into the deep
They sing her a sweet, slow lullaby
As she drifts smiling off to sleep
And ever was it so
And ever shall it be
The tormented seek rest
And the waves will set them free
And yet the waves have a darker nature
They take more than pain
Beautiful on the top
Yet playing the devils game
And the waves are never changing
The ocean stays the same
Beautiful on the top
Yet playing the devils game
