I am a want, the want to desire and to be desired
I am a need, the need for safety and belonging
I am a rarity, as many label me falsely
I am a saviour, for my presence can provide strength

I am fragile, for when infiltrated I can break easily under pressure
I am strong, for like diamond, when in pure form I cannot be shattered
I am both a burden and a blessing
I can keep people from their destiny or lead them to it

I am not friendship, nor am I lust
I cannot be held, nor can I be seen
What am I?
