On my 9th birthday, I remember myself sadly crying, missing my father like a lost child, and then my mothers face changed dramatically, I turned to see in maze my father, my father standing there. My mother stood up as happy-drops fell down her soft cheek. I saw my fathers scruffy hat he had worn during the war, I ran to him and cautiously wrapped my arms around him. I wanted to ask him so many questions like, "why are you here and how?" but the universe froze. All I could feel was his warm arms hugging me. I could only hear his heavy breathing in sync with mine. I could only smell his scent, a scent I will always remember. This was the day my father came back from the war. Time flew by and soon it was my turn to serve my country. I am now celebrating my 100th birthday. Oh the memories I have.
