Tears

You were the light to my darkness,
I felt so content when you were by my side,
You have helped me through the toughest of times,
Even when you scratched and bite.

I’ll never condone the one,
Who took you aside from me.
They lie to my face, because they think it will comfort me.
I’ll never forget you, my bundle of life.

Tears, they flow down my cheeks,
I mourn in agony as I feel the pain,
Of your presence not beside me,
I fear I’ll never see you again, never again.

Just give me a reason,
As why not to have my grief,
Because one timid day,
I fear I won’t turn over a new leaf.
