Aussie Christmas
On a hot and stinking Christmas day,
We like to celebrate the Aussie way,
Dads burning chops on the barbecue,
Mums making a salad or two,
We are all playing in the pool,
Adults under the air con nice and cool,
We sit together and have a feast,
The drinks will keep us cool at least,
Presents wrapped under the tree,
I hope that big ones for me,
Dads dressed in a Santa suit,
Mum thought it was quite a hoot,
A pudding and ice cream to finish the day,
And that’s how we celebrate in the Aussie way.
