Spring peeks through the gaps in winter
Creeping slowly into trees
Yellow dyed flowers, like bursts of colour
Brightening up the cool winter air
Stuck delicately onto thin green branches
Attached so carefully, the bond could break
with even just the slightest touch.
Wattle tipped gently with pollen
Tiny and soft, almost invisible
Icy Winds swiftly blow the branches.
