Since the times of my youth, you were there.
In my grasp, in my hug, you would always care.
You never objected, only listened to me,
It was just as though we were meant to be.
When I was alone, tears cold on my face,
Whether I made a mistake or lost a race,
Whether at home or far away,
“I’m here for you,” I’d hear you say.
You made playtime a real life dream,
Life, what a joy you had made it seem!
Yes those were the days of my time with you,
My youth and you, it was all too true.
Yet it’s time to leave you now,
Where someone needs you, I take you now.
My precious toy, it’s time to go,
To a dream we go where we will never grow.
