"Only astonishment" The witness said about him as he sat
In the ambulance without shedding a tear.
At only five are you already immune
to desperation, destruction and fear?

Silent despite the cacophony around him.
Contrast- like his cartoon shirt soaked in wet blood.
The dust in the hair makes you look older.
One bright red eye, The other covered in mud.

"Wish I could help you" I refrain.
Your home just rubble, mixed with dirt.
Surrounded by broken hearts and pain.
Omran, I would give absolutely anything to take away the sadness and the hurt.
