Race day
Vroom vroom vroom!
“Slow down Jack,” panicked Emily.
“Why? What do we have to lose?”
“Jack.”
“Ok sorry.”
“What got in to you?”
“I don’t know. It’s Dad, him not being around.”
“I know it’s hard. He would have wanted you to race but not like this.”
Three weeks passed.
“Are you ready?”
“Calm down Emily. It’s not the end of the world.” “Yes but you don’t want to be late for your big race.”
“Ok. I’m ready.”
“Good let’s go.”
“We’re here! You should sign up, ok?”
“I’m all ready.”
As Jack was getting in his car somebody said that the winner of the race wins three hundred thousand dollars. They started the race. Jack was going well. There was three hundred metres left. Jack won.
“You would have made Dad proud.”
“I know.”
