Bad Day For Ducky

‘Twas the day of St Patrick’s and the cackle of the leprechaun were aloft. Not even the black cat’s purr was soft. Everyone was joyful and felt lucky, everyone except poor little Ducky. ‘Twas Ducky the one, who ruined the fun of Mrs Beningham the lady who owns the corner store. The person before the smashed the mirror on her door was Ducky. Because he had been the one who tripped over her black cat and fell into a splat on the mirror. Now Ducky was sitting all alone on his miniature throne. But as he was very glum (being quite dumb) there was a rat ta tat tat and padda pat pat. And the door creaked open on the little slope and there was a zig and a zag and a leprechaun zoomed into the room and boomed, “I’M THE LUCKIEST LITTLE LEPRECHAUN TO HAVE EVER LIVED AND I GRANT THREE WISHES! AND MUM DON’T MAKE ME DO THE DISHES!!” And with that, Ducky tapped his chair and he yelled at the air, “All I WANT IS TO BE LUCKY AGAIN!” And after that, Ducky had never enjoyed his life more.
