Never Trust A Mirror

When you look in the mirror,
Wherever that may be,
Never trust the reflection,
That it makes out for you to be.
It is only showing you externally,
Nothing else from inside,
All the rest is hidden,
Hidden beneath your eyes.
It doesn't show your inner beauty,
Or how well you do your duties,
It doesn't capture when you smile,
Or when you're working your internal style.
A mirror doesn't show you what the rest of the world sees,
It only shows your skin and not what you are meant to be,
And if you believe that that is what dictates your value,
Then it may be time to ask the question of, “Who really are you?”
