Why do we paint so much fantasy into stars?
For they are simply celestial bodies of gas.
Why do we describe such things as 'breathtaking'?
Clusters of interstellar 'magic'.
Milky galaxies, filled with wonder.
Sparks of lightening, through the sky's purple blush.
Ethereal phenomenon.
Why then do we not paint fantasy into all simple things?
For stars are just balls of gas, like humans are clusters of bone.
Why then do we not describe ourselves, far more complicated than a simple star,as breathtaking?
Why then do we not see the magic and lustre of ourselves?
For a dull star does not appear dull from below.
We place our dreams, our ambitions on stars.
We wish upon them, as though it is they that will grant our hearts desires.
"It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but ourselves"
Stars are ephemeral and destined to collapse.
