The pilot is ready for take-off, his plane primed for flight.
His grin, the size of the moon. He feels it inside he will have to take off soon.
He is up in the air, the wind dry in the monsoon.
A silver bullet, whizzing by.
A piece of genius made unstoppable, defying newton and his laws.
His eyes are teary with remorse as the sunset goes down.
He dips the plane for the landing.
I look up and see the teacher concentrating. I look up and smile.
The teacher talks static and hands me the paper.
I close my eyes and the pilot has somewhere to land.
He gives me a smile and a small wave.
As the veil leaves me and travels to another land.
I do not fret, knowing that I will see him soon enough, when the plane takes flight.
And slowly but surely, the veil leaves my sight.
