Daydreamer

He is everything I had hoped for,
That I couldn’t bear to ignore.
His beautiful smile,
His charming laugh,
All of which I adore.

Many days I sit and wonder,
Looking out the window just to ponder.
Does he care, does he know?
Daydreaming through the days of summer.

My heart, it pounds faster and faster,
As I see him walk down the hallway.
He looks at me,
I look at him
And for a moment I drift into my own world far, far away.

Oh how I wish this would end,
Dreaming of being more than just a friend.
