I sit under the blossoming cherry tree,
as its dancing flowers and petals greet me with glee.
My back is supported by the stem of this beautiful tree,
as you turn around and smile that golden smile to me,
Unconsciously I wave and smile back at thee,
hoping secretly that you will notice me.
Instead you turn around and yearn for her,
leading me to an instant world of blur.
I wonder why you can’t see me clearly,
and you answer my eternal question but merely.
As I see you run so willingily far away,
in my hands I find the final bouquet.
I smile that golden smile back to you,
as you look back at me like you used to do.
