The internet sires monsters
chimeras of our darkest fears
many headed creatures
hateful whirlwinds of faces
leering,taunting, teasing
kind, generous, loving
indifferent,uncaring, oblivious
these are but masks
discarded like clothes
adopted as suits
the real monster lurks
in the masked shadows
vain proud, arrogant
fearful, nervous,fragile
envious, jealous.vengeful
slaves to social media
the line blurs
