‘Smash!’ ‘What was that?’ I wonder. ‘Smash!’ I hear it again. I jump up in a flash and out of bed. I don’t even bother getting changed. I run down the winding carpet lined staircase, scented with Mum’s lavender carpet wash. ‘Smash!’ I hear my bunnies; Thump Skip and Hop thumping around the kitchen. My legs tremble with fear as I cautiously walk down the stairs. I wonder if it’s my neighbour’s callous bullmastiffs smashing the antique pot but as I peek around the corner I see three huge black bulky things. I back up. I look at my fluffy white bunnies’ cage in the corner. It’s ruined! Shattered into thousands, no millions of pieces! I run to Dad’s science lab. I grab purple liquid in a small bottle. I run down the stairs and splash the whole bottle of weird liquid on them. ‘Puff!’ A purple choking smoke cloud appears then three little white bunnies start hopping around happily. ‘Darling, what was that?’ ‘Nothing Mum!’ I call out. Just wait until she sees this.
