Tender green tendrils caress the unaware cheek
Through a crush of trees bubbles a crystal cool creek
Opalescent fish slide elegantly through
Diamond rippled water, clear and blue
A net of lace fern shyly unfurls
Daintily beaded with gemlike pearls
Of ice clear dew, bestowed by morning
Every day when the new day’s dawning
Dragonflies flit on gold veined wings
In the afternoon air they reign as kings
Cherry-breasted robins flit and dive
So vibrantly beautiful and brightly alive
All of these things when unified
Create such beauty undefiled
That all of us humans stand in awe and stare
For beauty like this isn’t found everywhere
