Memories; a picture of exquisite hopes and dreams.
A window to our past we left behind.
Can curse or harm or come out like a million streams.
May have a powerful affect that may not always be kind.
They're not only a window but a mirror reflecting
How we have changed, or remain the same.
A kaleidoscope of thoughts all interconnecting
To help shape our future, life experiences to blame.
Looking back at things that we've done in the past
Perhaps we have some regrets, or even great satisfaction.
Those unique and special moments may not always last,
Although new memories to our thoughts, such an attraction.
Memories are important to grow and to learn,
A helpful teacher for confidence in your own element.
Cherish our memories, so to our past we return.
Memories; a gift and our source of self development.
