As I stare in the mirror,
My past self haunts me,
With my biggest fears,
And all my deepest memories.
I remember the kid who hated me,
Who teased me,
Who made me feel like dirt,
The reason I went home crying everyday.
Even now, I look at myself,
Picking out all my imperfections,
Wishing I could fix them,
Then maybe I won't get bullied.
Everyday I wish I was someone else,
Always thinking about the negatives in life,
Wondering why I don't have this or that,
When maybe I should've been thinking about what I have all along.
