In her brevity, I feel gravity,
The hollow space in my head,
The abyss between her words
She wants to laugh at herself.
At her own snarling cruelty,
But it quietly consumes her
Yet for the life of me,
I can’t separate her words,
Nor her actions from herself
I see the disconnect in her,
I see the unsteadiness,
I see the burning anger,
And feels like a tragedy;
For I will never get to see,
The thing beyond her whispers.
