Once I was dreaming bout' gold,
all down in the strong-hold,
My brother said don't go to the mine,
Your life will be risky,
Once I was dreaming about gold.

For food we're eating seeds,
Drinking bitter liquor,
Our lives are getting weaker,
Those shining ores we never ever saw them,
Once I was dreaming about gold.

Now I said bye to my brothers,
Lit a torch's stick wick
Running in the stronghold,
It's going to be risky,
Once I was mining for gold...
