Just yesterday it seems we were fighting while we played,
We gave it a few minutes and the anger would just fade.
Just yesterday it seems you were at school on the go,
I was proud you were my sister, and I wanted everyone to know.
Yesterday is gone now, and today is finally here,
As I watch you sitting there, I want to shed a million tears.
I know he will be good to you, I know there’s none better than he,
But it still makes me cry ‘cause you’re grown now, getting married.
As kids we lived together – we fought, we laughed, we cried,
We didn’t always show the love that we both had inside.
You’ve shared my joys and sorrows – my laughter and my tears,
You’ve been my inspiration as we grew up through the years.
On your special day I want to wish you both, happiness in everything you do,
Love, protection, prosperity, and lots of children too.
I’m proud to share this day with you, and wish you two wedded bliss,
I love you Aaliya and always will, congratulations my big sis.
