Broken thoughts, in a drawer.
Shattered dreams, concealed from view.
In a long forgotten world,
Where all your fears came true.
Empty chairs, dusty rooms,
Where many shadows hide.
Useless feelings, empty hearts,
left ruined by the ride.
Hollow figures, fractured souls,
Spirits failing as they try,
And desperately they work and hope
to one day learn to fly.
And the people trudge on through the rain,
Each with their tattered hood.
And as the struggle on, their world
Is fading out for good.
