Goodbye

I stared into my dogs eyes. I had to say my goodbyes I knew how hard it would be
But I remembered the adventures we had at sea
It made me sadder to think my dog was on the brink
There would never be something like my dog
Not even the best thing found in the bog
I remember how playful she was
And her favorite toy donkey Coz
And when we would take her to the park
That naughty dog would run away with a piece of bark
She never came home that day
But we kept looking anyway. We found her at the vets
The poor thing she was all wet
The vet said she had drowned
We cried as much as we frowned. We went home sad that day. But I knew I had to say...... Goodbye
