Nausea creeps upon me,
Like a storm cloud over the sun,
The rain strikes, clanging,
But it doesn’t pierce my skin,
The ocean sweeps my eyes shut,
But I can see my life flashing before me,
I float up, sea foam in my face,
Dissolving my face like burning acid.
I hear my friends laugh, play, splash in the water,
I taste the air, I feel it buzz inside me,
The waves embrace me,
Slowly showing me the way to shore.
