The surrounding leaves fall to the ground,
they barely even make a sound.
Baby animals know my fear not,
for they don't see the emotional rot.
Forests, memories, all as one,
I didn't know that I could run.
They bashed me, smashed me,
pushed me to the ground.
Their friends do nothing,
but surround.
As I lie,
to bleed and die,
They find me powerless to put up a fight,
bring me home to live with this fright.
So when you find no place to hide,
remember my story; the answer's inside.
