Needle in a Haystack

Lost memories seeking entance,
Lapping at the edge of your mind,
Like water on a beach,
swelling around your feet,
A future you are trying to foresee,
Out if your reach,
Like trying to run to a door in a dream,
That keeps moving away,
Fighting against emotions,
Trying to overflow,
Like jumping into a pool of cool water,
That's threatening to leak out,
Trying to find a love,
That was never really there,
Like trying to find a needle in haystack,
Though the needle isn't even there.
