There was a time, in years gone by,
When education wasn’t life.
When if man couldn’t do algebri,
He would not end in strife.
He needn’t spell such wordy words,
Like chromatography.
Indeed, it would be quite absurd,
But people would free.
For man (and woman) would apply,
Their time to useful knowledge.
Such as cooking shepherd’s pie,
That isn’t learned in college.
But now we’re stuck inside a building,
Taught things without a purpose.
We are trained to in-box thinking.
Admit it,it is worthless.
