Rain

I woke up on a beautiful morning,
when suddenly it started pouring
No there was no reason
but it was the first rain of the season
Young ones were in no hurry,
but elders scampered in a scurry
Rain was showing it’s power but kids were enjoying the shower
I wanted to go out and play but mum asked me to stay
I made a paper boat and was happy to see it float
The breeze was fresh and cool,
which made me feel I was in an outdoor pool
I looked out of the window frame and saw nature dance in rain
The rain stopped after an hour,
The sun came out with power
I danced with joy again as it’s no fun walking to school in rain.
