A riddle you are
The answer, I know not
The window to your soul,
A fickle painter’s canvas.
But thankfully, fortunately, gratefully!
Not past hers but I-
Am a philosopher, aesthetic.
Who are you? What am I?
My novel now, yours forever.
Where do we stand? Such a query methinks;
So I say- “Roses are red and violets are blue,
I am the day to the night that is you.
A plumeria is white with bright yellow hue,
You are the mystery and I am the clue”
And so now, dare I say; I’ve unveiled the answer,
To the riddle that, that I once thought you are.
