Never Go Gentle On That Dark Night

Never go gentle on that dark night,
Licking its lips for the next bite,
Petrichor and rain, down it drops,
Falling, falling then it stops,

Never go gentle on that dark night,
Creeping, crawling giving a fright,
Rancid smell souring the air,
Quickly it strikes causing despair,

Never go gentle on that dark night,
The moon always with its flashlight,
Foul taste of those who were left twisted,
Yes them, who you left unassisted,

Never go gentle on that dark night,
Always watching from a great height,
Who knows where next it will strike,
Better keep watching that sharp pike.
