He's locked up in a tower tall, no things to call his own.
He did treachery to his King, and now he pays with his bones.
King Minos wanted a labyrinth built, a monster at it's middle.
Daedalus gave the answer away, which spoiled the deadly riddle.
But, Daedalus was not alone in his tower tall.
His son Icarus was there, he too must pay the toll.
King Minos asked for metal wings, so metal wings were made.
But not for Minos, for himself and Icarus he slaved.
The wings were finished and they two flew, out of the tower tall.
"Not too high, not too low", to Icarus he called.
But alas, Icarus did fly too high, and to his father's despair.
Daedalus watched his son fall to the seas, and lost him forever there.
