I Am Alive

I’m alive.
I’m still alive.
Despite the tears and lack of air
I survived.
You call me names.
You push me down.
Tell me to stay fallen.
But haven’t you realised?
I don’t stay down.
I will cry and bleed my way back up.
Don’t you understand?
I’m a survivor.
I am alive.
I am still alive despite my adversaries.
I am still alive for a reason.
I am!
