I never saw it coming, I’ll never tell the truth
That I’m the one, yes I’m the one, that took that child’s youth
I don't know what went through my head on May, the 23rd
I wish I could remember it but all I see is blurred
And just what made this whole thing worse was seeing who’s to blame
It was not me in fact for it is all just one big game
It was someone close to me, someone I’ve known for years
And I only gave them in to save me a life of tears
I’ve never liked the colours, neither red or blue
I find them rather bright and bold when they’re because of you
The last thing that I heard them say before they shut the door
Is that you’ll never lose the guilt you have that wasn't there before
