Happiness, excitement, hope,
That's what I feel when it rains.
It doesn't matter who you are,
Everybody stops to look at the rain.
When I look at the rain,
I'm filled with a form of joy,
That can barely be explained.
I feel like the rain has come to tell me everything will be okay.
It soaks me like it's engulfing me in a hug,
It hits my face likes it's trying to wash away my tears,
Likes it trying to wash away my worries.
Rain is like a friend.
Sometimes you hate it, sometimes you love it,
Sometimes it leaves you for a long amount of time,
But it always comes back
Right by your side.
