Remember the early days of your life ticking by,
Wanting to grow older, eager for time to fly.
Life, always calm, like the canvas of the oceans seas,
Occasionally being rocked by the strength of the gentle breeze.
No conflict, no stress, no worries to eat away at your mind,
Oblivious to the struggles of the world, to that we were completely blind.
The freedom of being able to soar blissfully through your dreams,
Aspiring to achieve your true destiny though crazy it may seem.
Gracefully dancing your way through the years,
Proudly singing your thoughts for all to hear.
But alas there is time when this must come to an end,
Life takes a turn and opinions begin to bend.
We commit the crime of maturing so fast as if it is a race,
That we murder the child we once were and leave no trace.
So do not leave this fantasy world in a haste,
Indulge in your youth, before it’s too late.
