I am trapped in this web of constant beatings and abuse,
No one to call for help, no way to call for truce.
He doesn’t let me go; he says I stay forever,
Until we see the crow, we are in this together.
I’m so tired and afraid, but who will listen if I tell?
I am simply the new maid at a filthy old hotel.
No, I need to keep my strength for something more worthwhile,
If he wants me at arm’s length, then I will simply smile.
It’s all my fault, I know- I picked the bodyguard,
Before I saw the show in which he truly starred.
But he has the perfect build, the same eyes, mouth and nose.
Only his eyes are filled with anger if you look up-close.
My feelings set aside, I should’ve left him long ago,
I’m no more the happy bride, nor is he the groom. Although,
Mother likes him way too much, so there is nothing I can do.
Only I quiver from his touch, so much it shatters you.
