"I hope for your future even though I may not be a part of it."
It’s a stab at a goodbye no one wants to hear-
It’s been coming for a while
Like ice we may drift into the sea
And the wind may chip at your resolve
but you do not need me.
I've got to wonder; is it wrong not to miss you?
You’ll go away, you’ll find different path,
We do not have the same leaves or roots but that was never bad
It isn’t selfish for you to yearn for another sun
Or a different drop of ground water.
I read the flourishes of your condensed writing and why must you say-
Cherish our memories, just please don’t linger.
