The sound of music filled the air
and the dances filled the arena
while i only had eyes to spare
for the very graceful ballerina
her dress shining like the moon
a shining sun the tiara she wore
when i see her standing, weight on toes
what am i watching is the end product!
No idea have most, of the effort that goes
into creating that calm construct.
no count of the number of times
each painful toe bled .
and no inkling of the long nights
and tears that are shed .
whenever im staring at defeat in the face,
about to give up on the lowest of lows ,
i remind myself of that ballerina and the pointed perfection of her toes.
