The cliché grandparent has the very famous extraction,
Which to the younger audience makes for a boring attraction.
The infamous line goes as follows, “Back in my day…”
Then they go on and on in their ‘lovely’ grandparent way.
A continuous stream of stories from their days gone by,
While us adolescents struggle to think of an alibi,
But what we young’uns often forget,
Is that when we’re older we’ll suffer neglect.
But what we will have to say for ourselves?
When we finally decide to jump in and delve,
Into the various tales from our old, old past.
What will we tell when we reflect at last.
Will roads exist anymore? Will Earth be inhabited?
Will humans be alive? Will all plants be dead?
Will we be locked in eternal battle, robots vs men?
We’ll only know when we look back, look way back when…
