Empty

You were my galaxy.
You traced your finger over the freckles on my cheeks,
Naming the constellations as I lay there, mesmerised.
We danced on moonbeams
As our lips danced in the dark.
Falling for you was like falling into a black hole,
Invigorating, endless.
But then it hit me like a meteor,
Your heart was a nebula in a different universe,
It remained just out of my reach.
Your body was full of dark matter,
It remained a mystery to me.
Your midnight kisses are now littered across the night sky,
Your touch has vanished into the atmosphere.
Falling for you was like falling into a black hole,
Estranged, empty.
