I saw it in the grass,
I thought it was a stick.
But then it moved,
I think. Well, not that quick
Just a slither,
I think.
Then I heard a hissing,
I think.
I turned to run.
My heart’s beat was missing
My legs wouldn’t go
I looked back,
Where did it go?
The snake wasn’t there
It wasn’t anywhere
It moved so quick, I think...
Was it a stick?
